THE CROWN & RED PEONIES BY YO2

The Crown & Red Peonies

The kingdom of the “heavenly people” and the land between East and West … a rich heritage of medieval Serbia was the main theme for this collection. Symbols and tradition associated with the motherland and the people (14thcentury Gračanica Monastery, the Crown of Helen (Nemanjić) of Anjou as well as the red peonies of Kosovo as the symbol of suffering, heaven and pearls)… brought together create a surreal composition that evokes the impression of ancestral spirits who are eternally watching over us.
